Today's Prescription: Keep it simple & elegant when it comes to entertaining.

If storage space is limited in your house, when it comes to being prepared for entertaining, you'll want to make sure you have the right, useful pieces. It is easy to accumulate beautiful pieces that just aren't useful or truly functional products that are a snooze as far as design. You can entertain elegantly and easily if you invest in quality, simple pieces, like those in the Atticus home collection.

Atticus' focus is on utility and simplicity. You should get years of enjoyment (and we think compliments!) out of their products. For an elegant bar, you can't go wrong with the Placid Iced Bucket and Tongs. The built in "holder" for the tongs is a brilliant, and hard to find attribute. The Bamboo sectional server is perfect for chips & dip, crudites, or many other appetizer options. Take out the glass dishes and use the tray on its own.

If you're in the market for contemporary dinnerware, you must check out the Atticus Pacific collection. In soft, muted shades of driftwood, sand, seablue and seafoam, you can mix and match or choose your favorite one for all your pieces. Of course they are freezer-, oven-, dishwasher-, and microwave-safe, too.

Earth Day is this week, so I also want to highlight that Atticus is also committed to responsible design by striving to "use the finest materials and employ highly skilled artisans who handcraft each piece with pride, ensuring that [their] products are timelessly beautiful and built to last." Additionally, when possible they choose more environmentally sensitive materials and processes. So, maybe tabletop items made from recycled soda pop bottles isn't your thing, but you can do your part by buying quality products that won't end up in a landfill next year!
